I only stayed because it was Día de Muertos, the place was empty, and there was nowhere else. The rooms were dirty, and the showers felt dangerous. They smelled of urine and had no hot water. There was just one bathroom, very dirty, and it often wouldn't flush. Toilet paper was missing much of the time. I saw the kitchen once and tried not to look at it again. I'd suggest this place only if the alternative is sleeping on the street.

The area was nice and well kept, with an Oxxo and a few restaurants nearby, and the location was good. The staff were friendly, but the room itself was uncomfortable, smelled musty and dirty, and had only a toilet and sink, no shower. You get an access card, but the sensor kept making an error noise. People coming in would spend a while trying to open the door, and you could hear a lot from the other rooms.

The rooftop terrace was a lovely spot to sit, eat, read, or just unwind, with tables and chairs, and there was a coworking area too. Guesthouse del Valle is in a safe area, a few minutes from the Eugenia metro and metrobús stations and close to División del Norte and Gabriel Mancera. My room was comfortable, and the other services were generally good. I was welcomed warmly, and the staff were kind and attentive to what I needed. Everything went really well, and I'd stay again.

It was a really bad stay for me. The place is cramped, there were cockroaches in the women's shower, and the men's bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned.
