Punta Alameda

The hotel is on an upper floor of a small mall that was under construction in 2026/04. The work was only on the ground floor, so it didn’t affect the hotel, though arriving late at night, the construction might look strange. The location is very good, just 3 blocks from Alameda square. The square, the pedestrian street, and even the Zócalo are walkable. The immediate neighborhood isn’t as fancy as Roma Norte, but there are bars and cafés around.

Chinches en las camas! Cuídate! Muy sucio! We found bedbugs and the place was filthy. We never spent a night, and they said they’d refund us, but they never did. After sending us to 2 dirty rooms, they finally found one that was ready. The front desk lady was rude, the wifi was weak, and the floors felt so grimy we wouldn’t walk on them barefoot. This was our third hotel in Mexico City, and the other two were great. It seemed like a poorly run operation dressed up with updated furnishings. No hotel is worth bedbugs, and there are plenty of other options nearby.

There was noisy construction downstairs, but the room kept the sound out and stayed quiet. The hotel is central CDMX, with major sights and good restaurants all an easy walk away. The 24-hour service desk was responsive, the restroom was clean, and the facilities were well maintained. There’s also a water purifier that gives hot water. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it for a short, comfortable stay.

The rooms were exactly as advertised, clean and modern, and the staff were really nice. It’s a very safe, walkable area, close to lots of restaurants, stores, and Bellas Artes. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in the City.
