Sevilla Palace Hotel

The service and location were the best parts. Staff went beyond what I expected for customer service, and the spot is lovely, especially if you’re parking, catching a bus, or just going for a walk. The bathrooms could use an update, and the towels definitely smelled like vinegar. Otherwise, everything was good, the room was cleaned every day, and I had no other issues.

The only thing I liked was the location, which was okay. I waited two hours just to get into my room, and the service was bad. Inside, there was no fridge, only two outlets and two small, flimsy pillows. You could hear everything and everyone outside the room, so it was noisy. There were sketchy guests too, and the hotel lacked amenities. For this price, there are plenty of better choices nearby.

Half the staff don’t speak English, which I don’t think is acceptable for a four-star hotel. The rooms haven’t been renovated in a decade. Although the AC unit says it has heating, that didn’t seem to work: after 30 minutes of running it, the room temperature had dropped by one degree. Getting hot water meant running the shower for ten minutes, and even then there was no way to shower without flooding the floor.

The shower had good pressure and the hot water was great, and the location was good too. The beds were a little hard. My main problem was the shower door seal: only half of it was there, so water splashed across the bathroom floor and it felt like being in Venice, Italy. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room, and breakfast wasn’t included.
