Suites San Marco Hotel

I stayed for a week with my car, and it came back badly scratched. They took the keys but won’t accept responsibility or offer compensation. The rooms are dirty, there’s street dust every day, and it’s noisy. I didn’t feel safe.

The waitresses were friendly, which was the one good thing. This old hotel badly needs maintenance, the furniture is in poor condition, and the sheets, towels, and blankets are in terrible shape. It might be okay for a stay of two nights or less, but for a longer visit like mine, it’s a terrible choice.

The mattresses were awful, with springs you could feel, and most of the furniture was very old. There’s hot water in the morning, but for an evening shower you have to tell them an hour ahead so they can switch on the heater. They said sheets and towels weren’t changed because of the COVID situation, and the room cleaning was superficial. They also don’t accept credit cards or give receipts.

The suites can be rented by the month, which brings the cost down, and the service is good. It’s a safe area with a location close to everything. The plumbing needs maintenance, though, and the kitchenette has a mini-fridge but no stove or microwave.
