Calle Manzanillo is quiet, and you can easily walk to Parque Mexico, cafes, bars, and some of Mexico City’s best restaurants. We had a wonderful week at Casa Serenos in Room 4 on the top floor. It had a king bed, a large bathroom with a great shower, a kitchen with new appliances, a comfortable couch, and air conditioning in both rooms. The double-pane windows kept the nighttime noise out, but opened for fresh air. Housekeeping was terrific: the rooms were spotless, towels were replaced, and they even put my washed shoes by the open window to dry in the sun. Breakfast was included and delicious each morning, with fruit, yogurt, granola, coffee, juice, tea, and a changing menu of main dishes. A few things are wearing down and could use attention: the coffee table top is damaged, the bedroom side tables have dents and cuts, and the flooring in the main hallways seems to have water damage. Our bed was also less comfortable than we’d hoped, and could use a foam mattress pad to soften it. Even with those issues, we couldn’t have imagined a better stay. The amenities, staff, and location make this one of the best values in this part of town. Highly recommended.

We’d never been to Mexico or Latin America before, and our five days at Casa Serenos in CDMX were a great introduction. The modern rooms were tidy and well equipped, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was included and à la carte, with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed juice, flavorful enchiladas and more. The location was hard to beat: beautiful parks and Michelin-ranked taco stalls nearby, yet quiet enough to rest at night. We’d happily choose Casa Serenos again when we return to CDMX, and recommend it to others.

I’ve stayed at Casa Serenos twice, about a year apart, and both visits were wonderful. I almost want to keep this little locally owned hotel to myself, but it deserves the support. There are just five rooms, which is part of its charm. The top-floor rooms are larger, apartment-style spaces, and I’ve stayed in both. Each has a kitchenette with a fridge, stovetop, coffee machine, dishes and utensils, plus filtered water. Internet is included, and there’s a desk if you need to work. Roma Sur is quieter than the heavily trafficked tourist areas, while still giving you easy access to good restaurants, cafes, other neighborhoods, and points of interest. It’s near the main thoroughfare, and the trip to or from Benito Juarez International Airport takes 30-40 minutes even in traffic. The staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are super clean, and the bed and accommodations are comfortable. Breakfast is free and delicious, with coffee, tea, juice, fruit, granola, and your choice of egg dish. One small touch I noticed on both stays: housekeeping cleaned my hairbrush. That kind of detail made the place special for me. I’m looking forward to staying here again next time I’m in CDMX.

We came for business and found it easy to walk to the places we needed to go. There are good restaurants close by, and Ubers made it quick to reach other parts of town. The location was excellent. Our room was quiet, clean, and spacious, with AC, a kitchenette, filtered water from the taps, big soft towels, and a very comfortable king-sized bed. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff took great care of us. We had a wonderful stay and hope to come back for a leisure trip.

Carmen and Eli came to our aid right away when we arrived in the middle of the night, after our original booking elsewhere was unexpectedly cancelled for reasons we still don’t know. They booked us a room directly, and it turned out to be the best one of our trip: spacious, tidy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The service at Casa Serenos was next level, from the included breakfast to the smiles greeting us when we returned each day. We highly recommend it for an intimate boutique stay, just a few minutes’ walk from the center, great restaurants, and shops. Thanks again, guys!
