Fiesta Inn Morelia - Altozano

I knew meals weren’t free and that I had to pay for what I ordered, as part of my hotel reservation. Still, the waiters reminded me twice while I was there for breakfast and dinner, and made me feel like I was taking something from them. The food tasted like leftovers, and the pancake batter was sour. A horrible experience with the restaurant and wait staff. I’ll never come here again.

The location was really nice, close to a shopping center, and I wish they offered airport transportation. The staff never smiled, which makes a difference. Jacob was the exception, professional and great to deal with. The walls are so thin you can hear everything, and they looked dirty and needed paint. Our key cards kept resetting, so we couldn’t get up to the rooms until we repeatedly asked staff to redo them.

It’s 4:25 in the morning and I’ve been here over three hours, still hearing loud noises now and then from the floor above. Sounds like heavy furniture being dragged or rolled around, no voices. There’s no point trying to sleep, and by the time I do, it’ll be checkout. Never again. Stay at the Holiday Inn instead.

We booked half the hotel for a wedding, so I expected them to honor our group codes for free breakfast or at least treat us decently. Instead, the staff were rude and wouldn’t help with small requests. For an “upscale” place, the service and quality were nowhere near what I expected. The rooms were small, mine was dirty at check-in, the towels were old and stained, and there was nothing to watch on the TV unless you connected your phone. This was a horrible experience, a rip-off, and a waste of money. Save your money and stay somewhere else, closer to downtown.
