Holiday Inn Express Mexico City Satelite

Getting an invoice is a time waster. They don't follow up, and either never issue it or just ignore you. The breakfast is good and the location is great, but the rooms are on the small side and service is lacking.

I spent a week here for work. The hotel can arrange taxis, so you can get around without worrying about your safety, and the room service was good, though kind of pricey. The food wasn't high quality, more like something you could throw together in a few minutes. The location is right across the freeway from one of the area's major malls. My only other gripe was the lack of a compact fridge.

I’m giving it three stars because some of the alcohol dispensers stayed empty for days. Most of the reception staff were nice, but they wouldn't take responsibility for the hotel's shortcomings. I asked several times for a cup and sugar for the coffee machine and got told it wasn't their job, it was the kitchen's. The valet parking staff were more helpful than reception.

We couldn't sleep the one night we stayed, so my family and I had to cut the visit short. The bed was flat and uncomfortable, and the pillows were flat and soft too. It felt like very cheap bedding, with no box spring. There weren't any towels in the room. When I asked for some, the set they brought was so worn you could see right through it. The staff member laughed when I showed her the condition of the first set. Reception were rude and abusive. They didn't want to honor the online prices and manipulated the prices and bill. This place is cheap, but pricey for what you get. Avoid it if you can.
