Ocean Breeze Nuevo Vallarta

The beach is lovely for swimming, with soft sand and no rocks, and the food is very good. Restaurant staff were really nice. Ocean Breeze also has a good laundry room for guests. The staff were friendly and professional from the bell boys through to the front desk.

We wanted somewhere peaceful, without drunk people partying at night, and that’s what we got. It was a quiet, quality oceanfront stay for a surprisingly affordable price, and we’d happily come back. We loved the view from our room, the modern facilities and lounging by the fantastic pool. Make sure to use the lounge chairs on the beach too. The staff were great. A big thanks to Javier at the front door and baggage area, plus Inocente, Alexandra, Emilio, Hector and the wonderful pool team. Carlos was also great when he helped us book an excursion. 10/10, would stay again.

I’d never stay here again or recommend it. The bartender took half an hour at a time to bring drinks, either forgetting or seeming drunk on the job, even with only six of us at the bar. I ended up with burns all over my body, possibly because the sheets hadn’t been washed well enough after bleach. They didn’t change them when I first reported it, so I had to complain again. Hours later I finally found they’d been changed. I’m in pain and had to go to the hospital. That’s never happened to me before. Food is overpriced, and laundry costs $5 to wash and another $5 to dry.

They charge $300 to $1,000 on your credit card before check-in. The reservation staff are aggressive and dishonest, and I believe they scam people: you pay, then find your card maxed out with charges from other places. This place is overpriced and badly run. We’ve traveled around the world, and this is the worst. Locking your door doesn’t matter, they’ll come in even while you’re in the shower. The front desk people are creepy and dishonest. There are bugs all over, and don’t trust the food. Stay away.
