Quinta Santa Elena

A terrible place.

Beautiful and cozy.

Getting away from the world for a bit is easy here. The rooms are comfortable, spacious enough, and laid out well, though a bigger fan would help since Morelos gets really hot. There’s coffee, tea, bread, and fruit in the mornings, but no regular dining service, so you’ll need to find your other meals somewhere else. The staff are very friendly. It’s a bit out of the way, but worth the trip.

The owner was very friendly, though there’s plenty to improve. Getting there was hard because the streets aren’t paved, and there’s no restaurant. The pool was dirty due to a leak. In my room, the shower water was boiling and couldn’t be adjusted, while my family’s room never got hot water. When we brought it up, we got excuses, including that they “don’t want to pay an expert to fix it.”
