I stayed here once and was shocked by how the animals were kept. The neglected zoo had lions and a tiger in small cages, all skin and bones. I saw a small Tiger in a cage where he could barely stand, and he had no teeth. If you care about animals, this feels like hell on earth. I called Peta and over organization in Mexico, and they all said they knew but legally couldn't do anything to help.

There looks to be potential here, and I'd consider coming if they didn't have the zoo. I wouldn't come until the animales are gone.

The place itself is quite nice, but the hotel's zoo is depressing to see. It has tigers, lions, jaguars, and other animals in very small cages.
