The location worked well, with a lovely pool and easy beach access. We liked being allowed to bring our own food and drinks to the pool and beach. But at check-in, we were told about extra charges for a daily pool fee per person, cleaning, laundry, and beach towels, none of which the listing mentioned. On day two, we returned to find cash missing from the apartment. We hadn’t been told in the listing or at check-in that cleaners could enter and clean every day. The condo manager handled it poorly and said for all he knew, we had arranged it ourselves. That was upsetting and stressful. Airbnb as a company was great and helped us through the process.

Maria at the front desk was really nice, and the pool and beach are pleasant. The place was dirty, though, and they charged per adult for maintenance, plus a rental fee for blankets, sheets, and towels. Beach and regular towels cost extra too. They checked the inventory before we could leave, holding us up for about 35 minutes. My $300 deposit was reduced by almost half, about $150 USD.

I’ve been coming for 25 years, and this place was here long before everything else. The beach is gorgeous, the food is excellent, and the prices are affordable. It’s quiet, and you’ll probably be among the only Americans there. The facilities haven’t been updated in years and it’s not the Marriot, but that’s part of its charm. Come here for a fantastic, relaxing vacation. I recommend the nachos.

There are four pools, and the water is warm in the two that have heaters. The beach is beautiful, with calm water that’s great for swimming, though not for surfing. A very good vacation spot.

We spent a whole week here and loved it. It’s close to lots of fun things in Nuevo Vallarta, and the staff were awesome. The facilities were nice, and there’s a spa, though it books up quickly. It’s a great choice if you want to spend time with Mexicans and speak Spanish. If you’re after a crowd of Americans, go somewhere else, maybe California.
