Hostal Nordés

The rooftop terrace was a nice extra, and the place was clean, well priced and conveniently located. Staff helped arrange an airport taxi, and when they were helpful they were exceptionally kind. But the service was inconsistent, and I often had to put in a lot of effort to get assistance. I was told hot water started at 6 AM, yet the shower never got beyond lukewarm. Each time I had to contact staff to turn it on, and I was told I had only 10 minutes of lukewarm water.

For the price, the location near El Centro and the secure underground parking were real pluses for me and my moto. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. The room was loud, though, and the single bed and pillow were horrible. I stayed three nights and didn't have hot water once.

The room was thoroughly clean, and the place felt spacious and very safe. The quality was good for a hotel, with a hostal price.

The location was perfect, just two streets from the main plaza and the Zócalo. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooftop terrace had a pleasant seating area and view. My room was big, with two windows, room for clothes and a large bathroom with a small window. The mattress was a bit hard. It got dark with the lights off, but that didn't bother me. Nights weren't too loud, though I still slept with earplugs.
