Casa del Sol

It was wonderfully peaceful, with the nearest town a long way off. That remoteness is part of what makes this place so beautiful. May 2021. I had concerns about the security setup. There were two cameras by the front door and three on the terrace, which made me feel watched, yet the right-hand room's window and door wouldn't lock from outside. The glass panes were cracked, too. That combination felt odd. The kitchen utensils were quite old and dirty, so they need attention. As in many parts of Mexico, there was a lot of algae and seagrass. The stretch of beach gets cleared, but getting into the sea meant walking about 20 meters through it, and at times the smell was very strong.

It feels wonderfully remote, but still has the conveniences of the modern world. There are lots of spots to walk around all day in peace, and the people are incredibly friendly and polite. Such a beautiful, relaxing place. One of the best experiences I've had, and I'd highly recommend it.

Sitting on the terrace and looking out over the sea for hours was a joy. The house is amazing, and the peace and quiet made it feel like paradise.
