Hotel Morelos, Villa Hidalgo

The person in charge was really kind while we were there. Our room was clean, and the hotel was in a great spot. It had Wi-Fi and hot water, and the price was affordable. I'd happily stay again and recommend it. 👍👍👍

I showed up for my December 24th reservation, but the hotel was shut. It's inside a shopping plaza that was closed behind a metal shutter. I rang the bell and got no answer, though someone inside said they weren't providing service. I'd confirmed my arrival by text since nobody ever picked up the phone. I contacted OYO, but they only passed along other numbers, and nobody answered those either. With no response, I found somewhere nearby to stay. They still charged my card the full amount and emailed that it was a no-show, even though I had arrived. Charging me for a service I never received isn't fair.

The room decor could use some work, so I'm giving it 4 stars. The hotel is right in the textile and clothing district, and you can walk out to the shops and be back quickly. It was comfortable, the service was great, and the price was good. Seems suited to a relaxing trip, business, or leisure. Highly recommended.

There was a little noise from the shops downstairs and some from the street, but it didn't bother me. The place is modest and clean, and I slept very comfortably. It's above a small shopping center.
