Hotel Q

The outside didn’t make the best impression on me. Some parts of the building look a bit unprofessional, and the location feels tucked away. Inside, though, it’s lovely and I like the layout. The cleanliness really stood out, too. I had to remind myself not to judge the place by its cover.

As a student researcher doing fieldwork, I’ve really valued the rest I get here. The front desk and cleaning staff are warm and friendly, too. I’ve lived in several places around Oaxaca, including two in Reforma and two in San Felipe, over the past year or more, and this has been the most peaceful one by far. I’d especially suggest it to anyone else who has trouble sleeping, like I do.

It’s a lovely, quiet place, and the rooms are comfortable and nice. A good spot to switch off from everything outside.

The service was awful from the first phone call. Whoever picked up sounded half asleep or drugged, and didn’t seem to know what they were talking about. Zero stars from me. It’s a shame Oaxaca has hotels like this.
