The rooms were clean.
I won’t be coming back. The $1,400 mx price felt steep for the condition of the hotel, which needs serious maintenance throughout. My room was spacious, had enough storage, and looked out onto the garden, but the mattress and pillows were awful, and there was a strong bleach smell. The people at the front desk were kind, though they seemed unsure how to do their jobs.
The location might have potential, but the whole stay was a mess. We couldn’t use the garden tables because they’d been removed, and they wanted to charge us $500 for a table and chairs. We also weren’t allowed to have our drinks there, something we hadn’t been told when booking. We tried to sort it out with the receptionist, but got nowhere. They offered to refund that night, so we left and found a much better hotel for the price, without all the fuss. The staff were rude and arrogant, and friendliness was a zero. The restaurant had nothing to offer, and the service was bad. The place was dirty, dusty, old, and not hygienic. The bed was hard and dirty, and the sheets had hair or eyelashes on them. The bedspreads clearly weren’t being changed, and it didn’t seem like the room had been cleaned properly at all. The hotel cost doesn’t match what it provides. Don’t waste your time or let it spoil your vacation. If they modernized the place and made it clean and hygienic, it could be a 10 out of 10.
The pool was unbearably cold, even with the town’s great weather. The photos don’t match what you find: the facilities are old and poorly cared for.
