The worst part was the service. On Sunday morning there was no water for showers, and the woman in charge just said they couldn't pump it because there was no electricity. The towels were stiff and stained, and getting to our room meant climbing a very narrow, dangerous spiral staircase on the roof. We'd rented three tiny triple rooms for 1,400 pesos each. When we arrived, they initially refused to let us in, saying it wasn't the right time. We needed Wi-Fi, so they eventually gave us access, but the signal was terrible. That same day my sister and a relative paid 1,500 pesos for another room, supposedly because it was high season. My sister had to leave early because of a personal problem. She told the woman in charge that we'd use the room since it was paid in full, and even asked to cancel it with a penalty. The woman said cancellation wasn't possible, then politely agreed we'd use it. But when we came back around 10 PM and asked for the room, she said it had already been rented out again. She refused to refund the money too. They charged us twice for the same day, which is outrageous. The service at this so-called "finca" was awful. If you want to stay in the area, there are closer options, like Yecapixtla. Finca La Joya is terrible!

They charged us for an extra room and wouldn't refund my money. There was no hot water, and the customer service was awful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

The room was tiny, just 4x5 meters, and the shower water was cold. It had one double bed and a bunk bed with two single beds, but no TV or fan. Five adults stayed there and we couldn't sleep because of the extreme heat. They charged us 1,650 for a room meant for two or three people, and charged for two rooms even though they only gave us that one. They'd said renting a triple room and a double room for one night wasn't profitable, even though there were no other guests. In the end, we were given the same triple room that had already been prepaid for three people. At exactly 12:00 the next day, they asked us to leave the room. Five of us took turns using the one bathroom, then we showered, packed, and checked out at 12:15 PM. We used the pool from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. After checking out, we sat down for a snack with our family, who had unfortunately already paid for another night. We didn't use the pool again, but when we asked if we could wait for lunch, they wanted to charge us extra for "use of facilities." The place is very run down. The pool towels were old, gray, and stained, and the one plastic table, supposed to seat four or five, was dirty. We paid for this awful room while only three rooms were rented, two by us and one by another family, even though it was high season. I think lots of people have noticed how neglected the place is and how bad the manager's service and attitude are. The family had come hoping for a relaxed, pleasant stay, but the place is falling apart and seems likely to keep doing so. Luckily there are several nice hotels nearby, so this "hotel" is easy to replace. They advertise Wi-Fi, but we never got it. They mention a gym, but there's only two bikes and a game table, nothing like a real gym. A very bad experience. I won't return or recommend it at all. 😠🥵😡

The view of Popocatepetl and the surrounding nature made me want to come back with my family for a weekend away from the world. There are coffee trees, papaya plants, pineapple, and more all around. I was there for work, and found it super comfortable and very clean, which matters a lot to me. I'm grateful for the owner's kindness. She always gives me a warm welcome, even when my schedule is busy.

It's somewhere to get away from the city's hustle and bustle, and the hostess is kind in every way.
