Hotel Misión Express Pachuca

Checkout is at 1 p.m., with the option to extend to 2, which is handy, and breakfast is included. The room and bathroom were both spacious, modern, and clean. It’s not cheap, but the price is fair. I’d recommend it.

We only stayed one night, but I’d recommend it. The room was large and clean, the shower was great with hot water, and the staff were cool. Breakfast was average, as expected, and it’s close to the central area.

The hotel was closed when we arrived at 9 p.m., and the entrance was boarded up. We’d booked two months earlier and wrote four days before arrival to say we’d be coming late after a long flight from Europe. They replied that they expected us, but didn’t mention the closure. We called a number and were told we could check in at another hotel in the chain, 3 km away. We’d booked a city-view room within easy walking distance of the square, but got offered a windowless room at a hotel more than 3 km out. By then it was too late to find somewhere else. Unacceptable.

Breakfast is served early, and everything tasted good. I especially liked the coffee. Downtown is just a block away, so it’s a nice spot for a longer stay. I’d definitely stay there again if I had the chance.
