We left a pair of Crocs in room 220 and my wife’s wallet in room 221 during our September 25 stay at Hotel Misión Pachuca. We know forgetting them was our mistake. But when we called, staff said the Crocs had turned up in room 222, where we never stayed, and that they couldn’t find the wallet. The mixed-up answer and lack of accountability left us feeling the wallet may have been deliberately kept. We came away with the impression that the hotel couldn’t be trusted, so I can’t recommend it.

The pool was the best part for me, nice and warm. The hotel’s public interior looks elegant and very clean, but I saw five rooms and each had some small issue. In the room we stayed in for four days, the lighting was very poor and some lights didn’t work right until we pointed it out to management. The bathroom wasn’t in great shape either. I also heard other guests say the AC in their rooms wasn’t working. Service was a problem. We were told there was no kitchen service after 9 pm, and that wasn’t true. At breakfast we waited over 40 minutes, still didn’t get the full order, and were told they were short-staffed. The room service meal was disappointing too, like low-quality frozen food reheated. The strawberry milkshake I ordered was just milk blended with strawberries. I also asked them to keep some vaccines refrigerated and explained what they were, but they nearly froze them. Luckily, my Thermos kept the temperature steady. There aren’t many options near the Pachuca center, so it’s hard to recommend this place.

The Central Camionera is nearby, which makes the location handy. Rooms were spotless and the beds quite comfortable. The food selection may be limited, but it changes each day.

The breakfast buffet is worth checking out, it’s pretty great and reasonably priced. The rooms are nice, with good views over the courtyard inside the building. The AC can be tricky to figure out, though. For this part of Mexico, it’s a top-notch place, and the bus station is a short walk away if you’re traveling that way.

The rooms were super comfortable, and the beds were clean and nice. Parking is free in a safe area. Breakfast was tasty and didn’t cost much, and the service was great.
