Best Western Plus Santa Cecilia Pachuca

The staff were friendly and professional, and they offer valet parking, though I’m not a fan of that. My bigger problem was the noise: the walls are thin and you can hear a lot from other rooms, so sleeping could be difficult if noise bothers you. The price also seemed a little high for what you get, though that may have been because of the season I booked.

This is my go-to business hotel in Pachuca. It’s a bit dated, but they keep it in good shape, and there’s a heated indoor pool.

On my October 15 stay, I finally got to try breakfast, and both the meal and service were great. The rooms were still lovely, with awesome amenities. My earlier stay on October 11 was comfortable and relaxing too, though I didn't get a chance to try breakfast then. The front desk service on the later visit was lousy, possibly because a local event had the hotel packed.

The rooms have been clean, roomy, and comfortable on the several occasions I’ve stayed here, and the hotel itself is good. But my New Year’s Eve stay was a real disappointment. The celebration music was so loud that the rooms vibrated, and I felt like I was in a club while other guests were trying to sleep. Parking was also packed to the point that cars barely fit and seemed at risk of being hit. When I arrived, I was told there was no space for me because hotel guests attending the event and their guests had filled it, including people who weren’t staying there. Service dropped during the celebration too. I’m not saying they shouldn’t hold a New Year’s event, but they need to look after guest comfort and service while doing it. Based on my experience, I’d look elsewhere if you’re staying here during a celebration at the hotel.
