The staff were all friendly and helpful. It's a large place with a big pool and private rooms that have their own bathrooms, ours did, at least. Getting into town isn't ideal: it's about a 30 minute walk, or a taxi that should cost around 50 pesos, as of summer 2024. The facilities look run down, as if they haven't been maintained well for a few years. The kitchen is just usable, with only two bowls and one cup for the whole hostel.

What really made the stay was the staff. They were kind, helpful with everything, and knew the local area well. The location worked well for us, around 30 minutes on foot from the center or a 50 peso taxi ride. Our room was huge, though the rooms and kitchen were basic and had basic facilities.

The pool is nice and the rooms are OK. Monkeys come hang out on the property in the morning.

The pool is huge, and the kitchen is very well equipped with the essentials for cooking, including a refrigerator. It wasn't well stocked on our first day, but they replenished it with bottled water, coffee, tea, a microwave, plates, and glasses. Our sheets were clean and the bathroom was very functional. The reception staff were friendly and helped with our issues. They also gave us information about transportation and nearby places to eat and visit. It's far from the center, but transportation is easy to find if you get onto the main road.
