Hotel Vinícola Parvada by Lumina

The place is beautiful and new, and the staff were very nice, though they seemed under a lot of pressure at the restaurant. The rooms are okay, but not extraordinary. Ours was large, yet despite paying $400+ USD for a panoramic view, our ground-floor balcony looked at the spa building just a few meters away. That was disappointing. There was only one towel and one soap, with no body lotion. You could hear everything from next door because the ground-floor rooms aren't soundproof. The safe wasn't fixed to the wall or closet, so someone could carry it away. You need to book the restaurant in advance; we couldn't get a dinner table, and there isn't a nearby place to go. It was a nice stay, but for the price we expected 4.5/5-star service, and it wasn't there yet. The area, infrastructure, and project are really nice, and I hope they improve.

Parvada Hotel sits among vineyards and pecan groves in the historic wine region of Parras, described as the oldest wine-making region in the Americas. The architecture by Artigas makes the hotel flow naturally through its setting, and with just 10 rooms it feels intimate. We stayed in Pinot Noir (#6), whose balcony looks out over the pool, and found the room beautifully appointed with great service. We loved dining at Nido and taking the vineyard tour with a wine tasting. The pool, peaceful atmosphere, and views were wonderful too. This place pairs luxury with an amazing vineyard, and we'll be back.

The place itself is lovely, but the service was awful. We booked several rooms under a deal that promised one bottle of wine per room. When we got there, there was no wine, and they said the promotion had ended, even though we'd booked while it was available. Breakfast was supposed to be included from 9 to 12, but on Mother’s Day they didn't open until after noon, once we'd already checked out. Nobody told us about the change.

The location is great, and the hotel staff were kind and helped with every request.
