Hotel Boutique & Spa Casa Colorada

A very elegant hotel, with a good restaurant and room to play billiards and do other activities. I’d recommend booking one of the Suites. The one with a bathtub costs the most, but I think it’s worth it.

This boutique hotel is beautiful, with thoughtful decor and tasteful little details everywhere. The furniture, food, duvets, and pillows are all superb, and the staff are incredibly attentive. Highly recommended!

Breakfast is included, and our room was really comfortable. I loved the terrace, the spacious bathroom and its amenities, the bathtub on its wooden base, and that wonderfully comfortable bed. The pillows and sheets were so good I wanted to take them home. There was a sitting area with a rug, vintage furniture, a welcome letter with our names on it, yellow flowers, colorful cushions on the white bedding, and complimentary Perrier water, which I tried and loved. The terrace would be lovely for tea or coffee, red wine, or charanda to warm up. We stayed in the Belén room. Gonzalo looked after our needs throughout, and Pablo welcomed us when we arrived at Casa Colorada. The reception area felt warm and had antique pieces and vintage decor that I loved. The house itself is orange, with black ironwork and a charming doorbell. I took pictures as we walked up to the second floor and explored the hotel. There were wooden beams, handcrafted religious pieces in different sizes and materials, vases, a fountain in the middle of the patio, and poinsettias in perfect condition. There’s a study I absolutely loved, and every space felt roomy, with large furniture, beamed ceilings, chandeliers, and tables set just right. Some walls had plates, others vases, and the large wooden windows had pristine glass. We sat by the fire pit and talked until nightfall, then sat by the fireplace too. There’s also a game room with foosball, and we played pool. I had fun losing. We explored every corner and took lots of pictures to share. Casa Colorada is centrally located in Pátzcuaro, about seven minutes from the pier for Janitzio Island and 29 minutes, or 21.6 km, from Santa Clara del Cobre. We ended our day there.
