Hotel Concordia

A really nice hotel.

The rooms are fine for a one night stay, and the location is central, near the new Patzcuaro market. Food is upstairs there, and service runs until midnight. The hot water situation was the downside. We arrived as a group at night and were told only half of us could shower because the heater kept shutting off and water was scarce. There was no hot water in the morning either. The bathroom needs a towel for drying wet surfaces, and the sink drain needs cleaning, there was mold, grease, old hair, and grease around it.

The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean, but for the price I wouldn’t come back. We booked through a third party that recommended the place. The manager seemed fine when we arrived, but when we went to park, the owner said parking wasn’t included with our room. It was outrageously expensive, especially for the price and high season, 600% more than usual. There’s room for improvement: the toilet took about 10 minutes to refill, the door wouldn’t close properly, Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room, and we couldn’t configure the TVs for Wi-Fi.

Staff were warm and welcoming, and the rooms have what you need for a comfortable stay. It’s a pleasant, historic hotel run by a family, in an excellent location.
