Sandunga Suites Patzcuaro

Villa Naranjo gave us a wonderful family stay, with room to gather peacefully. Our cabin had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a bathtub, living room, kitchen, dining room, and a balcony with a table and chairs. We were given a separate key. The property feels peaceful and close to nature, and even though it’s near the city, there’s barely any urban noise. It was easy to relax and disconnect. Breakfast was included and tasted homemade and traditional: fruit, juice, bread, eggs, beans, molcajete salsa, and freshly made tortillas. Everything was well prepared, and the service was friendly. A great choice for a short family getaway near Pátzcuaro and Tzintzuntzan.

The cabin-style rooms are lovely, and there’s a fireplace ready to light. It’s a peaceful spot for quality time with a partner, friends, or family. The beds are incredibly comfortable, so sleeping was no problem. The rooms do run a bit chilly, which is typical for Patzcuaro, and January could feel cold. Water was in excellent condition, hot and cold as it should be. The hot tub fits one person only. Breakfast was very good. A great place to stay if you’re looking to relax.

The facilities are very clean and laid out well, with a large garden, playground, palapa, benches, parking, and a tennis or paddle tennis court. Service and attention were excellent. I’d definitely come back with more family for a weekend. Highly recommend it.

It was quite expensive, and I wish there had been cable TV. At least our room didn’t have it. Aside from that, it was very comfortable.
