I had such a good time I didn't want to leave. It felt comfortable for a short visit or a longer stay like mine, and I loved the restaurant food. The customer service was fantastic, and they really make you feel at home. Thanks to all the staff and administration for working so hard, and for everything.

A lovely family hotel, very clean, with outstanding service. Their breakfast and lunch are delicious, and they have a desk that arranges wonderful tours. We highly recommend it.

Back in 1997, the place was owned by three brothers, Jorge, Mario y Nacho Lopezo Rivera. I hope I have their names right. I sincerely hope they still own it, though I think they may have moved to San Francisco. We got off the bus on a whim while heading to Veracruz, drawn by the name and guessing it was by the water. We ended up staying TWO WEEKS, and those were some of the best times of my life. We helped the brothers expand the hotel in exchange for a few free days of lodging and food. It's a quaint place with a little pool, within walking distance of Mexico's most deserted beach. Zempoala is nearby, with great little ruins and a strong mystical feel. It's home to the Teotihuacan tribe, the first natives to encounter Cortez and his men. Pic de Orizaba is also close by, a 5.5 km vertical challenge for rock climbing fanatics.
