Hotel Pie de la Sierra

The restaurant served good food, and the service there was good. Our rooms were old but reasonably comfortable. Unfortunately, the reservation mess overshadowed the whole stay. Booking online was difficult, and none of the phone numbers provided worked. We had reserved a bungalow for three adults, but were first given one room with two beds. After I showed the reception clerk the email confirming our booking, we were moved to a two-bedroom suite, but had to pay extra on top of the quoted price.

The only drawback for me was the small jacuzzi. Otherwise, this place is hard to beat, especially for the price. You get the pool, outdoor area, a private balcony, and lovely scenery. I've stayed at a couple of hotels in Mexico, and this one takes the cake. I never expected to find somewhere like it. It's one of the best I've been to, and I'd highly recommend it. You won't regret staying here.

The employees are the best, but the owners are cheap. This feels like a hotel from the 60s and is badly outdated. The beds are hard as a rock, which is definitely a deal breaker. The pool was under repair, the place needs remodeling, and there were holes in the bedsheets and dining tables.

You get a very good view of the city from this well-located hotel. The rooms are a bit old, though, and the bed was somewhat uncomfortable and needs improvement. All in all, it was a very nice experience.
