There are restaurants within walking distance and two supermarkets just around the corner, though the beach and 5th Street are a bit far. The area felt secure, with the gate always locked, and I liked opening the apartment with a code instead of a key. The neighborhood is a little noisy, but has a Mexican vibe. There's also rooftop laundry where washing and drying cost very little. The apartments are roomy and nicely equipped. We started in ground-floor no. 3, which was too dark for working from home and had a bar instead of a table. Staff were friendly enough and let us move to a first-floor apartment when one became available, which worked much better. For our final week we moved again to the even larger penthouse, with a terrace. The internet was very unstable for remote work, especially after 10AM. Each apartment has its own connection, but it rarely worked; the common-area network was better. Cleaning during the stay isn't included in the price.

Avoid this booking. I reserved through booking.com at 700$/night, then the hotel messaged me a day before arrival saying the price was 1500$. They claimed booking.com had made a mistake and that 1500$ was the standard rate, yet the same room was listed there for 500 two days later. You can cancel, but a day before arrival the other good hotels are gone and choices are limited. I wish zero stars were an option. This feels like a scam.

There were roaches and bedbugs, and the manager was very rude. We sent a complaint to PROFECO with a video showing how filthy the space under the bed was. They demand cash to avoid paying taxes, then tell you that you brought the bedbugs with you if you complain 😕

It's basic comfort, and you get what you pay for. Check-in was pretty complicated, especially if you have a car, but it wasn't impossible.
