I’ve never had a stay this bad. My first apartment had cockroaches, and the second had bedbugs. Two weeks later I’m still itchy from the bites. The last apartment I was moved to was smaller than the one I’d paid for, and the shower was filthy; there was even pubic hair on one of the beds. When I asked the owner for compensation, he said he wouldn’t refund anything. The listing photos look much better than the actual place. I attached pictures of the cockroaches and the bites on my arms.

For what it costs, it’s hard to beat. You’re still near the beach, and while this isn’t the nicest part of town, it has character and is easy to get around from. The management is the best part: they communicate well, treat you fairly, and take care of you without trying to rip you off.

Paulina seems capable, and she’s the reason I’d consider coming back to give them another chance to make a first impression. The place is clean overall and conveniently close to the beach, plus plenty of spots to eat and drink. 5th Avenue is nearby too. I took most of my photos to document a few problems. Some minor issues really weren’t acceptable during a pandemic, and after a lot of back-and-forth they refunded the cleaning fee. They should have offered a full refund.

The host was good at responding, but the room didn’t look as nice as the pictures. It smelled damp, and they only clean it when you check out.
