Condo Paraiso

Socorro was friendly and made my friends and me feel welcome. The amenities were more than enough, and there's a big supermarket across the street. It's right in the heart of Playa, with a great location and very affordable for what you get. We'd happily recommend staying here.

This was the worst condo I've stayed in. The photos look at least ten years old and don't match what you get, even though the price seems based on them. For the actual condition, I think it should cost $40-50usd/night. The beds are completely worn out, with broken-down springs that let you sink to the bottom. The couch is old, stained, and worn, and the towels are ancient and have holes. There was no toilet paper, the toilet seat was broken, the showers had mold, and the floor was covered with dirt and sand. Housekeeping was basically nonexistent, and the water pressure was terrible. The location is awful, right beside an alley and a large grocery store's loading dock. Parking is very limited, and the back of your vehicle sticks out into the street. The place is a complete disaster. I also don't trust the Booking reviews, which seem fake.

Be careful with this place. What they promise online or over the phone can be very different from what you get when you arrive at the "hotel." It was very dirty, with mold in the bathroom, no toilet paper, blankets, or towels, and a bathroom that wasn't working. The administration was poor, and they didn't respond when I tried to complain. Also, breakfast isn't actually provided as pictured. Instead of a nice fruit plate, they give you a carton of eggs, one yogurt, bread, and one juice for a family for a week, and you have to cook for yourselves.
