Del Viento Vaiven Penthouse 28 2 Bedroom Condo

The place was clean, peaceful, secure, and beautiful. We were having so much fun, but sometimes the family still chose to come back here instead of carrying on. It felt like a refuge. I'd give five stars if the entrance had been less stressful during our first two nights and if a couple of things that need fixing were taken care of. We'd come back in a heartbeat, next week if I didn't have to work!

It's more of a residential area than a resort, but being inside Playacar is a big advantage. You feel safe the whole time, and you're in a central spot near all the "happening" areas. Awesome place, highly recommend it!

I live next door, so that's where my perspective comes from. This is a lovely condo complex in playacar with gorgeous landscaping and four nice pools. It seems more set up for long-term residents than Airbmb, though it works for both. Getting downtown playa or to the beach takes a hike, at least a 15-20 minute walk to either. Taxis are an option at about $8-12 per ride. The condo decor can vary a lot depending on the owner.

We rented a room here through Airbnb for our trip to Playa, Cancun, and Cozumel. The room was very nice, and so were the facilities, including the pool. Reception was helpful when we needed something, and there are good restaurants and cafes nearby. One thing to know is that entering Playacar means handing over your ID for a placard, then swapping it back when you leave. It can be annoying sometimes, but it's not a huge deal.
