The front desk staff were really nice, and the location is great. Still, this older building wasn't maintained or working well enough for the price. I stayed in Unit #17, and the owner was terrible to deal with. Don't stay here if you need reliable Wi-Fi, hot water, electricity for the AC, or a working pool. The filter broke several times and the water turned green.

Being right behind Walmart was handy, and the full kitchen meant we could buy food for the whole stay. Housekeeping did a great job, and maintenance responded quickly. They had to come by several times, though: the refrigerator quit working a couple of times, and the doorknob was loose when we arrived, with screws sticking out. It had clearly been patched up so many times that the wooden door couldn't hold the screws anymore. Two burners on the electric range were also very slow, taking 7-10 minutes to warm up.

I felt safe here, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We rented three two-bedroom apartments, each with its own private rooftop lounge and direct access to the rooftop pool. All had kitchens with fridges, and one also had a washer and dryer.

In the rooms, it seems to depend on your luck. The photos are old and don't show serious issues, such as windows that won't close. The drains smelled terrible, so we put wet paper towels over them to keep the smell out, and that worked. Water pressure was low, and the water sometimes smelled bad too. We brushed our teeth with it at night, but waking up the next morning felt awful. There is also the ADO bus stop right beside the building, so expect noise if your room faces that side, plus buzzing from the very old AC units on the roof. Maintenance in the building is nonexistent, and the rooftop pool is always green; there are only four sun loungers and half are broken. In 2023, the internet kept disconnecting or resetting every 15 minutes, making it unusable for online meetings like Zoom. A teacher was working from the lobby because that was the only place with a stable connection. Every Saturday, some locals have a 4 am party with a speaker in the shared central area on the ground floor. Reception staff know them and won't help if you complain.
