Hotel MX portal maya

This is nowhere near the advertised four stars. I wouldn't give it three. The bathroom was the worst part: dark, humid, and reeked of sewage. I avoided it and used restaurant restrooms instead. The water was salty and smelled bad, so we brushed our teeth with bottled water. The shower nozzle sprayed everywhere, making it impossible to rinse properly. There were red spots on the sheets, and service was practically nonexistent. The young woman at reception, not the curly-haired one, didn't speak English and got rude when I couldn't understand some of her Spanish. There's no elevator, fridge, or hairdryer, and reception didn't have one either. Please don't come here. It feels like a scam.

The only good thing was the location, right in the middle of the action and 10 minutes from the beach. For a hotel rated four stars, this place fell far short. The shower water was salty, the bathroom smelled like sewage, and there was mildew building up in the shower. Our room floor was so dirty our socks turned pitch black after a day of walking around. We had to ask to have our keys recoded every other day. The staff were rude and useless. It felt like the inmates were running the asylum.

We had a balcony overlooking Quinta Allegria mall, right above Scotiabank, and the location was great, close to Quinta Allegria mall, Constitution, and lots of places to eat. The staff were very nice, and the Wi-Fi was good, which mattered since we had some work to do. The pool is small and didn't seem very clean. Sound echoes through the hotel like crazy, so guests should keep it down in the halls late at night, even at 11 pm, midnight, or 1 am. The shower smelled, so we kept the bathroom door shut and the fan on. There was also very little pressure from the shower nozzle.

My room was clean, but the safe was broken and the TV came with no instructions. The showers were cold and had low water pressure. The pool is small, and the hallways echo. It was noisy at a busy intersection, with loud music from the restaurant next door.
