The price is hard to beat compared with similar hotels, and the Wi-Fi was great. The gym was acceptable, too. You’re near the ferry terminal, Quinta, and the ADO bus station, with tourist spots close by, yet the building itself is quiet and peaceful. The rooftop pool has a lovely ocean view. I stayed a week and would happily return. Honestly, I’d even like to buy a unit and never go home.

I was stuck there for 12 days because I couldn’t afford to find another place. I really don’t recommend it. The bathrooms were in poor condition and moldy, the bed was uncomfortable, and the towels weren’t clean. They only changed them after four days, and there was just one per person. At 2 a.m. I got locked outside because the security guard didn’t show up. I had to slip in when a car came out of the garage. The contact person didn’t answer then or the next day, only at checkout. She also kept calling and texting to show the apartment to someone interested in buying it, even after I said I wasn’t okay with that. The safe for money and passports didn’t work, and no solution was offered, even though money was offered to show the apartment. I won’t name the person who helped me, but honestly, they did nothing to make the stay better.

The rooftop on the sixth floor was a great place to relax in the sun, with a pool, hot tub, and a lovely view. The condos were clean and well equipped, and there was a security guard at the entrance around the clock, plus a keypad code to get into the building. It was also handy that the ADO bus from Cancun airport stops just a couple of blocks away, the cheapest way to get there. I stayed five nights in February 2023. Public beach access, restaurants, and bars are close, but far enough away that it stays quiet at night. I’d book another Airbnb here.

The plumbing was bad, with water from the toilet, sink, and tap not draining. They charged me 500 pesos to hold onto a small suitcase I’d left in the lobby. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are better places to stay in Playa.
