Magia by Riviera Rentals

The building has good amenities, but the policies made the stay miserable. Check-in is at 4 pm and checkout at 10 am, and they don't tell you until after you've booked. There are plenty of other places in Playa, so don't stay here. For a vacation in Mexico, especially with family or your wife, book somewhere else. Trust me. This is the worst building to stay in for the process. Wait until they change the policies.

The pool is lovely, but there are a lot of rules: no food, glass, music, or loud noise. Security is there around the clock, and you’re close to everything. The main room's AC never really cooled down unless we left the bedroom doors open. Still, the price was good compared with similar rentals, about $200 a day for a large three-bedroom, three-bath condo. It’s easy to find spacious rentals here.

The pools have lots of loungers, the apartments are roomy, parking is available, and the gym is great. The location is perfect. Getting in and out through the garage is awkward with a stroller or wheelchair, and there’s no wheelchair access to the pool area. Also, the windows facing ave 1 are really thin, so music from the restaurants outside blasts through the night. It’s very noisy there, and an apartment closer to the sea might be better.

The pool area is beautifully landscaped and really well kept, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The place feels safe and is quiet, except for the old air conditioners humming at night. There’s a fantastic upper deck with a jacuzzi facing the ocean, plus a street view from the deck and two balconies. Everything is close by. Love Rivera Rentals, great people who really care. It was an elevated experience overall.
