Mayan Paradise at Perfect Place

The location made getting around really easy. I arrived from Cancun by ADO, and the terminal was close by. Most things I wanted to do were walkable, including shops, restaurants, bars, gyms and malls. 7 eleven was just around the corner, and Walmart and another large grocery store were about a 10-minute walk away. Xcaret buses pick up at the Wyndham and Hilton, less than a five-minute walk from the property. Roberto at reception was friendly and glad to answer questions or suggest places to eat and visit. The woman who cleans the lobby in the morning does a great job keeping it spotless. I was also impressed with how responsive Stellla rentals was. They provide a large jug of water at no extra charge. There was a shower leak, and they offered to send maintenance, but with only two days left I chose to wait until checkout. The pool gets pleasantly warm in the heat, and swimming at night with Cozumel on the horizon was lovely. The gym gets extremely hot, almost like Hotworx, though the view is amazing. Opening the windows helped with airflow. I skipped the sauna because it already felt like one outside. My room's Wi-Fi was perfect, despite reviews I'd read about spotty connections, and I could do everything I needed while watching Netflix. The amenities close at 10 p.m., or rather, guests agree not to use them after that. A couple of drawbacks: the shower pressure is weak and some of the holes don't release water. I brought my own soap, shampoo and conditioner because I don't like the standard hotel-grade products they supply. It was quiet until trucks and construction workers came around, but I had been warned, so I knew when to expect the noise. I'd recommend the place for its location, cleanliness, Wi-Fi and safety.
