Apartments Near Beach Polo 88

There’s plenty of hot water, though you have to wait a bit for it. The apartment itself is spacious and modern, with a large balcony that’s great for relaxing. The washer and dryer both worked well, and the cleaning lady did a great job. I’ll come back.

The rooftop pool and view were stunning, and parking in front of the building was free and always available. We stayed in a very comfortable two-bedroom apartment, one block from the beautiful Blue Flag beach. Check-in and check-out were easy with the lockbox, which worked well for our late evening arrival. Polo 88 is in a quiet part of Playa, so evenings were peaceful, while the commercial district on Quinta Avenida was only a five-minute drive away. A great spot for a family vacation in Playa de Carmen. Highly recommended.

Paula made a huge difference to our stay. She was kind, helpful, full of suggestions for places to go and things to do, and helped us book transport. There were also beach supplies available, including life vests and chairs, plus kite surfing equipment for rent. I think they had some scuba gear too. My partner and I spent a month in room 102 on the ground floor. Good Wi-Fi mattered since we were working remotely. The apartment sleeps four in two rooms with queen beds. We used the quieter guest room, which had its own bathroom, and kept the other room for visitors. There was some light from the hallway through that room’s window, which I didn’t like, though our guests didn’t seem bothered. We were pleasantly surprised by the endless supply of clean water in five-gallon jugs. Our room didn’t have a view, but its outdoor space and hammock were perfect for us. For an ocean view, we could head up to the roof pool and grill. The beach is three minutes away along a safe, fenced path. My partner found a great coral reef about 600 meters offshore. I swam out with him using a life vest, snorkel, fins, and mask. It looks far, but the swim wasn’t bad. Just watch out for jet skis. We saw people paying to be taken by boat to snorkel there, when you can do it for free. We feel like we hit the jackpot finding this place and fully intend to return. The building is just a block from Playa del Carmen’s only Blue Flag beach and a few meters from 5th Avenue. Polo 88 has beautiful condos and an amazing view, plus a rooftop with a dinner table and grill. It’s a lovely place to spend time with family or friends. Totally recommend it.
