Palmar del Sol Condominium by ChezPlaya

The street gets a moderate amount of noise, but the internet was fantastic, water pressure was great, and the bathroom lighting was excellent. We spent a year in a condo here during Covid in 2020, and had no trouble with water, power, or internet all year, apart from hurricanes. Even then, the backup generator kept the lights on and provided an outlet for the fridge and charging devices. The units are lovely, roomy, and fully equipped. What really stood out was the staff. They adjusted schedules and worked hard to keep everyone employed during a rough time for tourism. They pulled together like family and kept the property clean and maintained, even when we were the only guests. Any request, from water delivery to a new light bulb, was handled right away by a cheerful employee in a mask. The location is excellent. The one downside was living above Chez Céline French bakery, so we ended up eating far too many desserts and fresh baguettes every day. This is the only place I plan to stay when I visit Playa del Carmen again.
