The location is fabulous, and I loved our unit's full-size fridge/freezer and washer and dryer. Most people here are Airbnb guests, with a few owners living there year-round. If you want a family day by the pool, beware. There's a pool nazi who doesn't like talking, music or laughing. A few couples joined us for an afternoon barbecue. I only went outside to check on the grill, so she could hear the music I play every day from sunup to sundown for eight months. She happened to walk by and had a full-on Karen moment, yelling at a nice young family who were playing in the pool. I brought the poor mom a nice drink and promised her the boys had done nothing wrong.

For a family or friends trip, keep the house rules in mind: kids aren't allowed to use pool floats, noise and music are never welcome, and you're expected to dry clothes on a rack, though most rentals don't provide one. Some owners and property managers live on site, and a few enforce rules only when it suits them. The atmosphere can feel almost like a morgue. I've stayed here three years running, and it seems to get worse each time. The place itself is beautiful, clean, and safe, but I'd only recommend it to older guests or very quiet couples. Margaritas 2 next door might suit a livelier group better.

It's an older building, though it's kept up well. The pool was quite cold when I visited in winter, and there aren't any chairs there, which seemed odd. There are no elevators either.

We really like this condo, but some days the water gets shut off at midnight, so there's no shower after that.
