The location was a real plus, close to everything and surrounded by greenery. Parking was very convenient, the apartments were spacious, and the kitchen was well equipped. We also appreciated the smoothie maker. But we were given a ground-floor standard apartment instead of the penthouse we’d booked, which had sunbeds on the terrace and a balcony exit from the bedroom. Reception said it was occupied and offered us a different room that didn’t suit our needs, or told us to leave. A lovely way to start our Mexico vacation. The apartment was very dark and needed lights on all day. When we checked out, the receptionist said we hadn’t left a deposit. Luckily I had the receipt, and the $300 was returned. If you get the room you booked, this is a good choice in PdC. Our experience was far from satisfactory.

The front desk was responsive throughout our three-night stay at Riviera Maya Suite. When problems came up, they took responsibility and worked quickly to sort them out. Our original king bungalow didn’t have the washer and dryer mentioned in the listing. Once we explained that we needed laundry for our water activities, they kindly upgraded us for free to a spacious two-bedroom unit. The place felt peaceful, with a lovely garden and pool area. The staff also pointed us to some great restaurants, including a truly local breakfast spot that wasn’t touristy and gave us a taste of everyday local life. We had a great experience, found it good value, and would happily stay again.

We chose the apartment, which looked out over lovely gardens and a pool. It was comfortable and had everything we needed, and everyone we met on staff was kind and extremely helpful. Eréndira was especially helpful. She patiently explained the available units and hotel amenities, and showed us both a bungalow and an apartment. We’d had to find somewhere at the last minute because our original accommodation was uninhabitable. We were very upset about losing our condo, but arriving at Riviera Maya Suites quickly lifted our spirits. We highly recommend it.

The pool is shaded and cool, a nice place to rest between activities, and the staff were friendly, helpful with local tips, and made us feel safe and welcome. From the apartment, it was a short walk to both the beach and 5th Avenue, so we could enjoy the ocean, shops, and restaurants without a car. There was plenty of space, a huge balcony for relaxing at the end of the day, and a fully equipped kitchen that made preparing meals easy. The washer and dryer were a big help on a family trip. The only small drawback was that the shower took about 1-2 minutes to get hot. After that, everything worked very well. Riviera Maya Suites exceeded our expectations.

The units are spacious and comfortable, with big kitchens and laundry in the unit. On-site parking is safe and included in the reservation. The location is great, close to the main area but far enough away from the noise. A garden view makes this a great place to stay. Assistant manager Simone is an amazing person. I’d definitely come back!
