The rooftop patio and pool were my favorite spots. The pool was clean and refreshing, though a little cool, and there was a relaxing lounge area upstairs with books and games. The building also has solar panels. I stayed in room 15, a bright corner room on a higher floor. There was some traffic noise by the intersection, but it didn’t bother me, and the modern locks and entry system felt very secure. I used a fob for the main door and a code for my room, so no keys to carry around. My apartment was spacious and very clean, with a big comfortable bed and nice linens. The bathroom had a huge shower with a line for drying swimwear. The kitchen was well set up for cooking, with a full-size fridge, induction plate, microwave, coffee pot, and plenty of dishes. There was also an outdoor kitchen on my floor, presumably for rooms without kitchens. The owners live on site and were kind and available, and Fabi was wonderful about checking whether I needed anything. Large water jugs and pumps were available at a good price, which saved me from paying a deposit and carrying one back to return it later. Since it’s adults only, the place was peaceful and relaxing. It was a wonderful stay and one of the best places I’ve stayed in PDC over more than 20 longer stays.

There’s a real sense of calm as soon as you enter the courtyard at Suites Fenicia. The staff were friendly and diligent, and communication about anything we needed worked smoothly over WhatsApp. We spent five lovely weeks there, with a comfortable, spacious room and very comfortable beds. It had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The place was spotless, and the rooftop and small pool gave us somewhere to enjoy being outside. The pool was especially refreshing on hot days. Restaurants were close by, as was a great supermarket, and the beach was a 10-minute walk. 5 Avenida Nte was also an easy walk away.

The room was clean and had what we needed: beds, bathroom, Wi-Fi, AC, and a kitchen. The building is easy to spot at the end of a crossroads, and it has an indoor garage. The property is fenced and locked, which made us feel safe and kept the car secure. A fairly large store was three blocks away, with an exchange office in the same building and local restaurants across the street. The main beach, with more American-style bars and restaurants, was a 10-minute walk. We were in Playa del Carmen at the end of January 2024, and Suites Fenicia was our first stop in Mexico, so we drove straight there from the airport. We arrived late, around 00.30, and a woman was waiting for us. Not many places offered check-in that late, and it was easy to communicate in English. A big plus for the service.

The beach and 5th Ave were both an easy walk from here, with local shops, restaurants, and street food stands all around the neighborhood. The location worked perfectly for me. It was comfortable and welcoming, and they had beach supplies available to use. The service was exceptional, and I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

It took about 8 minutes to walk to the beach or famous 5th Avenue, and the location was handy for me, with two supermarkets, laundromats, and restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean, secure, and well located, and the hosts were really friendly. My room was comfortable and came with a private bathroom, Wi-Fi, AC, fridge, microwave, and a few other small appliances.
