La Amada Residences Luxury

Our condo was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We also had an amazing view and were only a few short steps from the beach. The location was amazing, and the beaches were clean. Staff were friendly, amenities well maintained, and the property felt well guarded and safe. We traveled during unrest in the US media that made it seem unsafe to travel, but we had no issues. We hired a private chef through our concierge and had daily maid service. The main downstairs pool closes at 8:00PM, which seems early for a travel destination. Maybe 9:00-10:00 would be better. On the other hand, it was quiet, which we appreciated while traveling with little ones. We'll be back!

The beach club serves delicious food. There's also a convenience store in one of the buildings, with Starbucks and some over-the-counter medications. Peaceful and clean, I'd definitely like to go back.

The beach club and private beach were a real plus. There was good food, excellent cocktails at reasonable prices, plenty of cabanas and loungers, and waiters to make things comfortable. It was all included with the apartment. The beach is beautiful, and there's a private yacht harbor where you can rent a boat or start a tour. A spa and wellness center is close by. The two-bedroom apartment is great for families. Both bedrooms have large en-suites; one also has a kitchenette and TV, while the other has a bathtub in the room as well as the en-suite. There's a large terrace and a fully equipped kitchen, with room for an extra crib. The residence also has a shared gym, rooftop pool and cabanas, a ground-floor pool, and a large kids playroom. The compound is secured, and private parking is available. It's a little north of Cancun, and you'll need transport to get anywhere since there's no public transport. A rental car is recommended. Taxis are mostly overpriced. You could hire a car for a week for about what a return taxi trip to the airport costs. It's a good spot away from the crazy tourist trap called hotel zone. Enjoy.

The beach was a major letdown for me. It was dirty and felt unsafe, and I couldn't swim because of a steep drop-off right at the shoreline. That was one of my main reasons for choosing this place. Restaurant service was especially frustrating. Staff were consistently rude, and even when the restaurant was open, they refused to serve food and offered only drinks. This didn't come close to what was advertised. The beach felt unusable, service was unprofessional, and amenities unreliable. I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are much better options nearby. DO NOT STAY OR BOOK WITH LILIANA. She's the worst host.
