The rooms were clean, and the staff were helpful. There’s a nice restaurant, too. It’s away from the city’s main areas, so it’s quiet, with a little park and the stadium both within walking distance.

What a shame, because we’d enjoyed this cozy, well-located hotel on an earlier visit. This time, though, our room was much too close to a very noisy boiler. It kept running past midnight and started up again before dawn. It sounds like most rooms facing the pool are affected to some extent.

Lastra feels a bit dated, though it’s clearly well looked after and has elegant decor. The food was really good, and the service was warm and friendly. It’s close to museums and The World Tradr Center in Puebla City, with a restaurant, a swimming pool, and lots of rooms for professional gatherings.

The chicken was just so-so, and the food could’ve been hotter. During our session, a musical group was performing in the adjoining room. The meeting room’s air-conditioning was also very inefficient.

I enjoyed staying here. The neighborhood is nice, and there’s a beautiful view of Puebla. They also have rooms for social events, plus a restaurant where you can get drinks.
