The hostel standards in Quintana Roo and Chiapas had been pretty decent, and this "city" didn’t measure up to those. Still, I’ve stayed in plenty of low-bar places, and this one was good enough. You can get a private room for close to what a dorm bed costs. It’s right on the beach and near Punta, so it was worth it.

It’s a good spot to spend a few days unwinding by the beach. Since it’s away from Punta Zicatela and the main bay, you can get a break from all the activity.

I found it really peaceful, a lovely place to switch off and relax. The rooms have different setups: some have air conditioning, while others have only a fan. Each one also has a table, chair, and other furniture where you can put clothes or suitcases. The place is kept very clean, though being right on the beach means some sand comes in as people go back and forth. I’d happily recommend it and hope to return soon.
