We stayed in February 2023 and found it really peaceful, with a view of Zicatela beach, especially at sunset. The reception guy was great, and we rented a scooter from him at a good price. The rooms were clean and the shower had good pressure. It’s about two minutes down to the beach and two minutes up to the market, where there are lots of tasty, inexpensive places to eat.

We’d just arrived in Puerto Escondido when we stayed here, and the owner made us feel welcome. We chatted for a while, then later he spotted us walking back from dinner and offered us a lift. The hotel was clean and the staff gave great service. There are two floors so far and he’s still expanding the place. Our AC was great, the Wi-Fi worked pretty well most of the time, and the balcony was a nice spot to watch the view and see dolphins in the late afternoon. I’d definitely stay again.

The noise made it impossible to rest. Staff shouted and chatted through the night and into the morning, and construction on the wall outside our room started at 5 am every day. Doing that with guests in the room behind the wall was crazy. Service was extremely poor. If sleep matters to you, I wouldn’t stay here.

The rooms were really clean and nice, and the staff were friendly. It’s close to the beach, too. The place is brand new. I’d definitely recommend staying here, 10/10, or 5/5 by Google’s rating.
