Jorge and the rest of the staff made the stay feel welcoming, and the pools were clean, lovely, and had chairs available whenever we needed them. The pool team was friendly and attentive, and the bartenders always made good drinks. Food varied by restaurant, though, some meals hit the mark and others didn't. The beach was mostly taken over by seaweed on our second day, so we couldn't swim in the ocean. Still, we had a great vacation and would come back for the atmosphere. I'm especially grateful to Jorge and the staff.

We came here to relax and spend time together, and that’s exactly what we needed. The room was spacious, and the resort was spotless, with the staff clearly taking pride in Ocean, coral and turquesa. The morning buffet kept us very happy, and booking dinner at the specialty restaurants was never a problem. The grill show at Sensei was especially fun, with a great chef and delicious food. At the pool bar, Gustavo Alejandro Eduardo Antonio and Henry were always busy but still fantastic, mixing drinks and making special ones. The mojitos were great. Loam brought so much energy to the entertainment and made the pool games a lot of fun.

The Mexican restaurant ended up being our favorite place to eat. We never got the staff's names, but everyone there was warm and attentive, and the food was good enough that we could have happily eaten there every night of our 10-day visit. Juan made the resort feel personal from the first day. His drinks were always just right, but what stuck with us was how he smiled and said hello even when we were only passing by. By the end, he felt like a friend. Antonio at the pool bar was just as welcoming. He brought drinks over, checked that we were all set, and kept the pool lively with creative drinks and great energy. The kindness and hospitality from the staff made this trip one we won't forget. We'd come back in a heartbeat. Thanks to Juan, Antonio, and the restaurant team for making our 10 days so special.

Upgrading to “privilege” felt well worth it. They really treated us like VIPs, and our butler Carlos came by in person several times each day. He handled reservations and activities so easily that there was no hassle. Antonio at the pool area was especially attentive, checking on us often and keeping our drinks full and tasty. When we couldn't decide, he had delicious suggestions. Gustavo, Eduardo, Alejandro, and Henry at the main bar were excellent too. The staff made our stay both relaxing and fun. Truly top tier service.

This place is easy to get around, with elevators and only four floors. My friend used a walker and was able to manage, and the resort isn't too huge unless you're at one of the far ends. It's also close to the airport, around a 20-minute drive, though we were the only passengers on the bus. We had trouble finding pool chairs unless we got up around 8 a.m. After that, there might be one spare chair, but not enough for you to sit with your partner or family. We ended up at the far edge of the beach. There was lots of sargassum this year, which nobody can control, but I didn't see anyone trying to clear it. And please don't feed the raccoons, or let kids do it. People feed them so much that they now chase guests and climb onto tables for food. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, felt dated and worn from years of use. I gave it three stars because it doesn't feel like a five-star resort. Many places claim that status, maybe they once earned it, but this resort needs updates and renovations to maintain that level of luxury. Service at all-inclusives seems to have declined over the last 10 years, probably to cut costs. Servers used to circulate by the pool, beach, and lobby taking drink orders. That doesn't happen now. Here, high quality service and reserved pool chairs are part of a paid tier called privilege, whereas everyone used to get the same service. The buffet and a la carte food was just okay. Dinner reservations for the a la carte restaurants, along with information about amenities, experiences, and daily events, all have to be handled on the website. I didn't mind doing it, but I don't want to keep checking my phone on vacation, and it could be difficult for seniors or people who struggle with technology.
