Hacienda Monarcas Resort

We’ve stayed here twice now and have enjoyed it both times. The kids love cooling off in the pool after a long beach day, and the secure feel of the place helps us relax. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive from the beach, but that distance suits us since we’d rather avoid Rocky point’s party scene. The rooms, lobby, and rest of the property are very clean, with staff constantly cleaning and sanitizing. The staff and management are wonderful and go out of their way to help. Thanks, Hotel Hacienda Monarcas, for the hospitality. I’d recommend it.

The pool is gorgeous, and there’s a slide to use. The beds were wonderfully comfortable too. The facilities themselves are beautiful, though the casino is gone now, which didn’t really affect us. What did affect us was the shower: it took more than half an hour, no kidding, before the water was even lukewarm, so none of us managed to bathe. It’s also very slippery despite the bath mat. I’m 83 and very ambulatory, but grab bars are still needed. They don’t provide hand towels either. I don’t think I’d stay again, mainly because of that shower.

The pool was huge and kept my family entertained, and our room had plenty of space to relax. The employees were kind and professional, and made us feel safe and well looked after. Sam’s club is literally down the road, and the beach is close by too. I’d recommend Hotel Hacienda Monarca to families with kids. We had a great time and I’d like to come back.

The location works well: it’s a little away from town, but still close enough for what you need. Hotel Hacienda is planning to add its own market, so guests can get goods there, and a shuttle to take occupants into town is also planned. It’s an awesome Hacienda Resort.
