The location is about 25 minutes from town, so plan ahead if you want to go out. We liked having privacy, quiet, and security, and the villa was modern, clean, and well kept. The bikes, kayaks, volleyball, and other included activities made for some fun, relaxing time. Check-in staff were very polite, and the towel attendants were kind. The water in the villa was a real problem. Both the shower and sink smelled, and the sink ran yellow the whole stay. At the pool bar, I called three times to order drinks, even when it wasn't busy, and got ignored. It gave me the impression that some guests got more attention than others. When we asked the bartender if we could move a pool chair into the shade, he said no, even though the area was quiet and the chair wasn't in anyone's way. The beach photos on the website didn't match what we saw. The water wasn't clear and blue, and the chairs and cabanas shown in front of the beach weren't there. The property is beautiful and has potential for a quiet getaway, but the service and maintenance problems took away from what should've been a relaxing stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but they were the only good part for us. We spent three days at Laguna shores and the shoreline never came closer than half a mile from the resort. We liked the convenience of not having to drive somewhere else to get in the ocean. The resort felt dated, like little had been updated in a long time. The beds were old, and the appliances either didn't work or were badly worn.

I had a situation where we needed security, and we were left to fend for ourselves. That's how you'll be treated. The maids were slamming on the windows and waving at me at 8 in the morning. What creeps. When I complained, Nora and the other managers were rude and narcissistic. Your concerns will go unsolved, and somehow you'll be made out to be the problem. If the owner wants someone in real estate to manage the property, put Eric there. At least he is respectful and knows how to communicate. Remove Nora, she's a liability. Do not trust this establishment with your info. They wrote down my physical card information and didn't make it right after I complained. Your family deserves better. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere else, and don't buy real estate on site. Stay at encantame towers nearby if you want to avoid being disrespected.

We first went to laguna shores two years ago and loved it. Everything was in good condition. This time, the property looked a little dirty and some areas seemed outdated, with problems involving electricity and water. Roaches were all over the property. I know it's a desert, but pest control would help. There used to be a telcel tower, but now there's no service anywhere inside the complex. It seems the tower isn't getting the maintenance it needs. During the 4th of July weekend 2025, the pool servers clearly ignored Latino or Spanish-speaking guests and focused on white guests, maybe thinking they'd spend more or tip more. The pool menus in the rooms are outdated too, and when you order, they say those items aren't available. Security used to be friendly. Now they walk around with no friendliness at all, and stop you with questions every time you leave, even if your parking pass is visible and they know when your reservation ends. The convenience store says it closes at 10 PM. I went at 9:36 and the woman was in the back. I said hi, but she didn't answer. She had a terrible attitude, seemed in a rush to leave, and gave me a bad response when I asked about a product. She had a mouth piercing. Not all the store employees were like that, though. The woman there in the morning was very nice and helpful. A little disappointed this time. Hopefully they don't let the complex go downhill.
