Blaze Hotel & Suite Vallarta

For the price, everything was great, and I’d definitely stay again. The room suited our needs perfectly, and the AC worked well. We spent two nights at Blaze in PV. The front desk staff were very friendly, and I felt safe with the gate locked at night. It was still easy to get back to our room. We didn’t use the pool. The only noise came from the housing area outside, which nobody could control, and it didn’t keep us awake.

The staff made this much better than I expected. They were among the nicest, most accommodating people I’ve met in PV. I stayed two nights before closing on my condo. The beds were decent, though I had a few minor problems with the room remotes. The value is fantastic.

I was stuck outside on the patio all night because no one would help me get back into my room. I’d never had a patio door lock itself when closed before. I was sitting outside enjoying the cool air, then tried to go in to sleep and couldn’t open it. I made many calls, but no one answered. The number I called only played a recording in Spanish, even though I speak English. There should be a way to reach someone in an emergency, especially if the hotel advertises 24-hour coverage. There wasn’t even an emergency number. Why claim 24-hour service if you can’t get help? This is false advertising and unacceptable. What happens in a real emergency? I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels, and this was the first time this happened.

The staff were lovely, and we liked the cozy pool area. Our room was roomy, very clean, and had a nice modern bathroom. The rooftop terrace was a bonus. We booked room only because we planned to explore and eat locally, and the hotel worked more than well enough as a base. We had a great stay a few weeks ago. For the price, you can’t go wrong.
