Casa Lido

This has become our Puerto Vallarta home away from home, and we'll keep booking it for our large family's annual trip as the kids grow. There's room for everyone, from the kids and grandparents to multi-child families, with big bedrooms and one small suite. We love having space to spread out, between the internal patio, beautiful pool, and stunning ocean views just steps from the beach. The rooms are clean and tidy, and stay cool during the warm months we've been there. The service is spectacular, and the staff do a wonderful job with all our food preferences. I can't say enough about the food.

I reserved this house through VRBO in March 2024 for New Years 24/25 and paid in full. Then, just 10 days before the trip, the owner canceled our booking. VRBO gave no reason, though no reason would make such short notice for a holiday week acceptable. I saw other reviews saying this had happened and unfortunately ignored them. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Don't try to rent this house.

The location was perfect, and the place was just the right size for our group of seven, including our two grandkids. We spent six days there in early December for our son's wedding. Everything was well maintained. Barbara looked after us and prepared special vegetarian meals for our friend when needed, while the rest of the staff kept things clean and working well. We'd happily stay again if we have the chance.

Four months before our wedding, they cancelled our trip after double booking us. They wouldn’t explain why, and the customer service was horrible. We’d already planned the wedding for over a year. When COVID meant we had to rebook, they made us feel awful and tried to charge us more, though they eventually accepted the new dates. Later they asked us to change dates again because of another double booking. I said no since our wedding plans were set, and their service was terrible again. It seems they may have charged someone else more and given them our reservation. Don’t book here. It’s a shame, because it’s a beautiful place.
